Jesus didn’t introduce any special religion. Why? The questioner said Jesus died when he was Jewish

Religion is usually created for the purpose of enhancing the quality of life in the humanly way: to become a better person, not to harm others, etc.  But no human being can make God forgive human sins; no one can create the universe; no one can resurrect us and give eternal life.  In other words, religion is human creation.  Christianity is NOT a religion.  Christianity is reality which is led by the living God who is the creator himself.
Jesus is the incarnate God who came to be born and died as a Jew.  God chose Abraham out of a sinful place called Ur and made a covenant with Abraham and his descendants who formed the nation called Israel and the people got to be known now as Jews (= people of Judea).
Jesus came as a Jew because he had to start with the Israeli people who know God through the covenant and the law that God gave them.  After Jesus died and resurrected his disciples including Paul began to teach the good news (=gospel) about God’s forgiveness of human sins  1) first to the Jews who had already known God  then 2) to the gentiles who had not known God and his laws.
