Paul is only an apostle (= an ambassador) who was sent by Jesus to introduce the good news of salvation to the Gentiles (non Jews) who knew nothing about God the creator and the savior. He did NOT start a new religion. Again, Christianity is NOT a religion to be compared with the man-made religions.

Paul was like a signpost for salvation on the dark road of Gentile life because of the light he received through Jesus Christ and the spirit of redemption.
