One of the courses which I have this semester is Christian Apologetic. I’m so happy to have this course because there are so many questions that others asking me and I have to be ready to answer the, exactly the one which asked from non-believers.
Professor Trott asked us about we hope to learn from this course?
Honestly the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the title of this course is about searching in the internet. About what is the Christian apologetic and what should I know before taking this course and what will be I learn?
I got that Christian Apologetic is simply making a case for why Christianity is true and then defending that truth against any objections people may bring up. There was so many reasons that I have to know Christian apologetic:
- To know why I believe what I believe.
- Strength my own faith.
- Study in right way
- Have more confident to share my faith
- Be able to help others without doubt.
- And have positive impact on next generation.
As long as I understand these things I decided to do my best to learn all. Surly as a Muslim background and new believer I have so many questions and doubt about answers. I’m worry all the time about the background of my ideas because sometimes I’m not sure about my ideas. But I think with having this course I can understand what is really truth and I can capable to find right answers to question through Bible.
I’m looking for learning the philosophical, historical, and biblical knowledge I need to defend the truth-claims of Christianity. I’m sure I will have opportunities to grow intellectually and spiritually through the exploration of hermeneutics, studying miracles within the Bible, and the history of Christian apologetic.
And also I’m so interested in teaching and working with children because they are the next generation and I think we can help them to have better life through knowing Jesus Christ as soon as possible. So they can find there ways earlier. I think this course will be open my mind to help at first myself then others and hopefully next generation.
As Apologetic is an effective way to explain faith to nonbelievers because it offers a logical argument for Christianity, and I have access to so many non-believers with Persian language I think I can gather so many thoughts and ideas and facts to be ready to present to them.
These days Afghanistan and My homeland, Iran, are experiences so many bad days which I think is a good time to let them know Jesus and the only Truth.
