All-out Home Search Kicked Off by the Taliban in the Major Afghan Cities including Kabul

by Zhyar Mehr

Since last week, the new regime in Afghanistan has launched a comprehensive crackdown on dissidents, ethnic minorities, former government employees and religious minorities (Shia Muslims, Sikhs). These raids have been always harsh and despicable, they looted several houses, tortured people, insulted women and young men, and made wrongful arrests. The Taliban, as soldiers of Islamic extremism, have no respect for the life and privacy of others, so they do everything against others according to their idea of interpretation of Shariah. In the extermination of dissidents under Sharia law, it is legal and lawful to seize the property and possessions of others, as they have done to my house and lands in Baghlan. My concern in this dire situation is for the tiny number of believers who are still living in hiding in Kabul as they have not been able to leave the country due to the sudden turmoil that arose in the country and financial issues. These are often too precarious times for them, and I pray that none of them are captured by the Taliban with evidence of causing their persecution at the hands of a stone age folks with bloody mindsets.

I ask your prayers for the safety of God’s children imprisoned in the prisons of Afghanistan.

Yours in Christ,

Majeed
