my life in May 2021

by Farzad Motamedi

This is Farzad. In this post I’m going to explain what happened to us. We live in a shelter in Athens. About 10 days ago, 3 people in our shelter got Coronavirus. It was really hard and we had no place to go.

I explained my situation to Brother Fred Shin and he helped us as usual. He is the best mentor in the world and treats me like his child. He provided us a room and we stayed there. He always reminds me to rely on God.

we had a quiet night after many months

We stayed there and my wife was crying all the time and told me I don’t want to come back to the shelter. We were really under pressure. We prayed to God.

Three days ago, the Praksis organization called us and said we provided you a shared house in Crete island and it’s your only choice. We accepted to go there and we are getting prepared to go there. We have a lot of stress because something bad happened.

We will receive our interview result in a few days and we are allowed to live in the house only one month after the result.

It’s a long time we don’t have privacy. My family is under pressure and I took heavy medicine including Depakote and Fluvoxamine. I feel ashamed that I can’t provide them enough. My daughter always wanted her own room because she’s growing and going to the school but we only have one room to share all together.

Now I understand the book of Job better and better. Job was very strong in his faith. He lost everything like me. I had my own apartment, car and so on. But I lost everything.

I don’t know what is God’s plan for us but I know he has the best plan for me as he protected us until now . Many times evil wants to stop me from studying but I’m stronger because I have a holy spirit. I will fight to stay in Greece and evandualize people and evil cannot stop me. I have an important missionary here and I never forget my covenant to God.

I strongly need your prayers, the believers in christ. Thank you for taking time to read this text. I pray God overflows his mercy and grace to all of you in Jesus name.

Amen.
